DVDs movies purchased at the store will continue to play fine for awhile but over time it will have problems with those too. As DVD players get older or used more often one of the first things they do if they could read DVD Rs is to develop problems reading them back. I have had the same problem as well as my brother, and mom. I use a Pentium D 820 (2.8Ghz dual core), 1.5 Gb ram, and 160Gb SATA HD.
TOAST DVD CRASHES MOVIE
Average time to take a new movie is 17 minutes encoded to harddrive and 6 minutes back to disk, copied movies (already burnt) take 13 minutes total for encoding and writing. I copy the complete DVD including menus and languages at 16x encoding/writing speed. Now I use an LG 18x DVD+/-R burner, I use DVDFab Platinum 3.2 and have made more then 5000 movies in the last year, new burner, last one died (was an LG 16x DVD+/-R burner) I have only made about 40 coasters, (not really coasters because my cousin has a stand alone LG DVD player and the coasters work for him). Now just because I say it, doesn't mean I follow by example, I RiData 16x DVD-R disc and sometimes use TDK 16x DVD+R printables for the disc I want printed on. DVD+R has more density, last longer "technically" then the DVD-R. You will notice some light comong through the DVD-R and not the DVD+R, this has to do with density. Hold 2 blank DVD up to the light, 1 DVD+R and the other DVD-R of the same brand (Ex: Memorex sell both kind). Sent from sourceforge.Ok, where to begin, everyone has good info, let's just add a tidbit. This takes much less time and failures than using Toast or Burn exclusively. wav files?Īfter a few days of experimentation I have concluded that I will use BURN to encode video files to mpeg files which takes a fraction of the time TOAST takes.īut I can’t rely on BURN to produce a DVD with a navigable menu, so I need to use TOAST to do that. I wonder if the older version doesn't like. Any idea why? The disk shows 2 folders: an Audio_TS and a Video_TS. But when I played the disc in my Acura DVD-Audio system I got no sound at all. I tried using the older version of Burn from 2011, and it burned a DVD disc of 2 large. I’m using a Mac, High Sierra and Toast 11, but now trying out Burn, the latest version.
TOAST DVD CRASHES CODE
The error messages actually explain what might be the problem, rather than produce some obscure code or phrase that Toast users can’t comprehend.īut it is frustrating. Burn encodes and produces a dvd in a massively shorter time than Toast when it works. Remember, my first Burn attempt a few days ago with 1 hr 30 mins of three Video clips and a basic menu worked great. This is a completely new problem in my years of burning dvds. After clip 1, which played and looked great, every other clip had NO SOUND. I changed the titles on my video clips, and the authoring went ahead with 7 or so clips, but without a menu selected in the preferences, so when the dvd burned and I tried it on the DVD player it would just play through. I am using an External Mitsubishi Blu-Ray Writer drive.ĭVD-Audio: There was a problem authoring the dvd.
TOAST DVD CRASHES MAC OS
I am trying Burn after my Cirlinca HD-Ultra Solo software stopped doing proper DVD-A burns, and I had heard Burn was a good Mac OS Solution. I just got Burn, and I had exactly the same problem with a DVD-Audio disk. I wonder also if you play with the DVD theme under preferences ( there are 2 options) or uncheck that completely it might also make a difference.? I removed several movie clips from my long list of items to burn, I also changed some titles, and after these experiments, the new list of six titles seems to be burning away now. This may be of no help but.I tried a few things today.
